Reliant North Texas offers the latest state of the art technology.

Bioness H200 for improved hand and arm function.

Reliant North Texas has new technology to improve hand and arm function. The NESS H200 can be effectively used in a variety of settings including acute rehab, outpatient and home. This novel stimulation technology may assist to further your recovery. The NESS H200 utilizes functional electrical stimulation. The H200 can improve performance with activities of daily living and assist in a greater feeling of independence.

Bioness L300 to improve instability and increased effort during gait. The NESS L300 is intended for treating foot drop associated with a number of conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and incomplete spinal cord injury. The NESS L300 is an advanced neuroprosthesis designed to enable a more natural gait and return to a more normal lifestyle. VitalStim is the only dysphagia therapy backed by clinical data and cleared by the FDA.

VitalStim therapy uses small electrical currents to stimulate the muscles responsible for swallowing. At the same time, speech pathologists help patients "re-educate" their muscles through rehabilitation therapy.

Lite Gait the partial weight bearing gait & balance therapy system.

Partial weight bearing gait therapy on a treadmill has been found to be particularly effective as a rehabilitation technique. The LiteGait, in conjunction with the GaitKeeper Treadmill, allows therapists to gait train at speeds as slow as .1 mph. The extremely slow speeds are a key to establishing proper gait patterns and timing at early stages of rehabilitation process. As therapy progresses, increased treadmill speed and decreased support from LiteGait wean the patient off gradually.

Therapists often find that LiteGait is like an extra set of hands, because they are free to observe gait patterns, and then make the appropriate changes through manual manipulation of the affected limb(s). Throughout the entire therapy session, the patient remains safely and comfortably supported in proper upright posture, accomplishing more than ever before.

Lite Gait allows people to:

  • Obtain supported suspension for safer, more effective gait training
  • Achieve controlled reduction of weight bearing load
  • Comfortably walk in an environment free from falls
  • Increase or decrease the weight bearing load on the weaker side of the body
  • Learn to walk with proper upright posture
  • Use an assistive device while being supported over ground
  • Begin gait training much earlier in the rehabilitation process, and at a lower level of function
  • Have improved interaction with the therapist
  • Experience a sense of accomplishment by successfully completing therapy sessions
